We still miss you everyday. We’re approaching your birthday and remember how you enjoyed your birthdays! Your special light shined on every occasion.

 

We created a scholarship in your name and had the first award this year! We had an opportunity to meet the recipient and think you would have really liked her! We have set a goal for the scholarship and are working hard to get there.

 

We love you every minute of every day and wish you were here with us.

Just posting an update. We’ve been through Sophie’s favorite pumpkin season, her birthday and are moving into the season of giving, Christmas. Although we did not meet our fundraising goal by Sophie’s birthday, we remain confident that we will get there. Sophie would be proud that we have established this scholarship in her memory. While she was only in the official position of an educator for a short time, she always loved sharing her knowledge in helping enable nurses and students to grow in this field. Please keep this scholarship in mind in this giving season.

(July 8th, 2021)      A great way to build on Sophie's passion for Excellence In Nursing!

Sophie's family thanks you for your interest in participating in her vision for helping deserving nursing students achieve their goal of becoming registered nurses. This scholarship fund is in its infancy, though we have heard from many friends, Sophie's former colleagues, and extended family that there is intense interest in supporting her memorial scholarship program.

 

We will use this page to update you about progress in raising funds, and then the selection of scholarship recipients. This page will also be used to post notes and letters from the recipients as they continue their progress towards their nursing degrees.

 

We look forward to sharing great news about the many successes yet to come as we support Sophie's passion, and mission, for encouraging Excellence in Nursing.
